For teams with coding agents
Built for teams of people and their AI agents.
When every developer runs several coding agents, the hard part is knowing who is building what, keeping merges in order and knowing who did what. fremforge does it in the forge itself, with no agent cooperation needed, in the €30 seat.
See the work before it collides
Active work shows what is being built in each repository, so two people's agents do not build the same thing. An owner controls it for the whole organisation.
Who is building what
Every pushed branch becomes a piece of work: the person, their agent sessions and the areas it touches. Active work
The same work, found before merge
Both pull requests get a comment and both people an email. The comparison is text matching inside fremforge.
Real conflicts, early
A trial merge inside Forgejo lists the conflicting files on both pull requests before either merges. Trial merges
Told when a contract moves
Mark your API specification and migrations as contracts, and work in the same area hears when one changes. Contracts
Agents ask before they start
Through MCP or the API, an agent checks whether someone is already building the same thing. Tools for agents
A draft pull request on the first push
Optional: a new branch gets a draft pull request in the person's name, so the work shows at once. Draft pull requests
Keep merges in order
One set of rules for the merge button, the API, auto-merge and the merge queue.
- Merge holds. Stop merges into a branch across repositories, with an owner, a reason and an expiry. Merge holds
- Merge queue priority. Put the fix for a broken main ahead of the normal pull requests in the queue. Queue priority
- Why is it not merging? One call, or one MCP tool, gives the reason a pull request is waiting. Explain a pull request
- Risk tiers. Say which paths are high risk; each pull request shows its tier and what it still needs. Risk tiers
Hand over without losing the thread
What one person or agent knew stays with the work when it changes hands.
- Handoff notes. When work changes hands or stalls, its pull request gets one comment: done, next, open questions. Handoff notes
- A nudge for idle work. At most one email a day about stalled work, with three answers: continue, hand over or close. Idle work
- Team rules every agent reads. Write your rules once in a
.rulesrepository, and every person's agents read the same ones. Team rules
One feed instead of a hundred polls
Agents learn what changed without polling, and a loop gets noticed.
- Event feed. One stream per person for pull requests, checks, the queue, CI runs and holds, limited to what that person can read. Event feed
- Runaway CI. When one person's runs jump far above their normal, the owners and the person get an email. Nothing is cancelled. Runaway CI
Agents act as their person. Always.
There are no agent accounts to create, licence or forget: an agent has its person's access and never more.
No agent identities
An agent uses its person's token, a short-lived token exchanged on their behalf, or an AI connector they approved. Agents and people
Audited as the person
The audit log names the person as the actor, with the agent beside them. Audit-log attribution
Assistants that ask first
A few MCP tools can act, such as placing a merge hold, only after the person ticks each tool and the owners allow it. Write tools
Never for a connector
Tokens, single sign-on, billing, seats, members, policy and data exports are refused to every AI connector. The full list
Deactivate a person once
When your identity provider deactivates someone, their sessions, API tokens and AI connectors stop working within about a minute, at most 10. Offboarding
Your AI, your key
Optional AI features use your own provider key, and each call goes only to that provider's checked host. AI integrations
Read on 26 October 2026: GitHub's Copilot coding agent commits as Copilot and appears in the audit log as the actor Copilot (GitHub docs, audit log).
GitLab's Duo agents act under a composite identity that includes a service account (GitLab docs).
Included in the seat
Everything on this page is in the €30 seat. Agents are not seats: they act as the people who are.
